Hi!!

This strand is about writing. There are endless books on this subject, a few of which we've read. So, naturally, we don't give you shit like that.  My readers wouldn't stand for it. "Those who can, do. Those who can't, write a book about it."

What we have instead is a selection of pieces in which the author, magnificat, comments on or illustrates the writing process. Some stories are followed by a critique from magnificat's writing teacher, Mavis Beacon. (Yes, the same one who does the Typing Tutorials. We've promoted her.)

Oh - and apropos of the first paragraph, your author has worked for years as a successful and highly-regarded freelance journo. So he definitely can.

Some of the material is grotesque, perverted, and contains foul language. You have been warned.
