WEBSITE NEWS!

New for 1999 !!  Next month the magnificat offices take delivery of a new, ultra-modern, all-singing, all-dancing Supercomputer. We don't want to brag about speed but it's a number with a lot of 3's in it. Similarly we'll keep our RAM to ourselves, except to say that the sixth power of 2 will be auspicious this year. And our HDD is practically Presidential! (Or so my dear friend Monica said, last time we were swapping sizes!!)

Magnificat has also sussed that the reason our site is so deep down dull and lifeless is that Nettie Composer, much tho we love her, is a very basic girl indeed. We've learned through our research that for quite modest sums you can purchase all the whirly bits you want - in programs called Front Page, Hot Metal, and suchlike.

We've said it before and we'll say it again: there is absolutely no point whatever in learning arcane programming languages, when you can pay others to do the boring stuff for you - leaving you free to do the creative bit.

Things you'll soon be seeing here:

A searchable index. Share magnificat's (and selected others') wisdom on matters both current and eternal.
Photos, backgrounds, gifs, music, voice-overs. Hear magnificat in the flesh!
Smaller bits. There's quite a body of material now, so we intend to chop it up into bitesized chunks with links. There'll also be a random option. With modern modems there really needn't be any significant delay between pages. This will make the stuff more of a site, and less of a long boring crock of shit.
Nothing new at all. This is always the most likely outcome.
