Stradivarius  If you enjoy magnificat, you'll love Stradivarius. A mature gay London man with lots to tell. Trailer Park Trish is particularly recommended. A riot.

Dollsoup Handbag zine by Paul Baker. Soaps. Movies. Joan and Bette. It's all there, together with some interesting work on Polari, the underground gay vocabulary of the early and mid century.

Burn Your Jockstrap Another site by Paul Baker, thoughtful and original, in which he blames commerce for many of gay society's faults. Although we don't agree every step of the way, this site is nevertheless a must-read. Many of Paul's observations apply equally to the hetero community as well.

Donald Unlimited Another interesting fortyish Brit, with style and content not dissimilar to magnificat, although less poisonous, and quite str8.

Port o' Leith Bar Many, but not all, of magnificat's encounters happen in the Port o' Leith Bar. This establishment is not simply a bar, it is a way of life, and I am forever indebted to the proprietor, Mary Moriarty, for providing this haven.

Scott One sunny day years ago I met a young man there called Scott, who gets frequent mentions throughout our site. Scott has built a beautiful web site, full of lovely stories and pictures. He did study for a time at the magnificat academy of creative writing, but soon mastered what little we had to teach. His present project is compiling a guide to the world's eateries.

Tony Another tippler at the Port, without whose web expertise there would be no magnificat site. I know I bitch away at the technology, but in truth it's great that a forum like this is possible. If you have enjoyed even one of our tales, or maybe had a new idea or two presented, then it hasn't been a waste. I should stress that Tony, a respectable married man, is purely technical adviser and not responsible for any of the sometimes lurid content.
